Seeing Blue: A Huge Success

Circusoul Productions, LLC teamed up with Oceana - (one of the leaders in the conservation effort of the world’s oceans) to put on a great fundraising event last night! Our performers impressed the crowd performing on trapeze, lyra, silks, and the aerial net. Our troupe were dressed in their finest ocean attire. We had a portoguese man of war, a medusa jelly, a lion fish, a sea-nymph and some beautiful creatures from the sea!  Thank you everyone for your support and your help to put on the event!

We performed at the W Ft. Lauderdale inside using a portable type rigging. The rigging set up quickly, was versatile for our needs, and came down at the end of the night quicker than it went up! Another great production by Circusoul!!

Installation continued

Day 2  - With my ego badly beaten, I arrived back the installation site with what I thought would be a short work day. With two aerial hammocks, a static trapeze and the lyra already installed I could not imagine, at that moment, how long this day would be. I worked all day into the late evening working on details for the project. Concrete drilling and anchoring can be a quick and easy project or it can be a long a drawn out one. Unfortunately you do not make that choice going in.

Day 3 - To get four good anchors for the whole rigging system, I searched and searched and searched to find the best location! After two more days of working, I “completed” the rigging. 4 Aerial Hammocks, Static trapeze, lyra & 2 aerial silks, it was beautiful!!  I was so ecstatic about finishing the project, I left one final detail for another trip!

Rigging continued

With the help of my rigging team (Ale putting last minute touches on the hand made custom trapeze, and Charity working with me on beckets, and the major support structures of the project).  If you’re wondering how much effort goes into the last 10%, it’s huge amount. I spent 90% of my time working on only 10% of the project. We worked until almost 11:00pm that night, and I expected to be done by then… Little did I know that I would spend at least 4 more full days on this project and then only slide into the finish line I worked right up until I had to depart back to Sarasota… and I realized I had run out of the necessary hardware, and I would  be making another trip down to South Florida.  www.circusoul.com
